Asus is among the most renowned brands in gaming laptops, right there with Alienware and other big names in the industry. Taiwanese manufacturer Asus offers a variety of products to suit all budgets, including basic models as well as powerful ones that feature the latest GPU and processor technology.
The ROG Strix Scar 16 has high-end specs, but it’s still a portable device. The 17-inch screen has 144Hz to 244Hz and has the resolution of 1080p. This is high enough to provide an immersive experience. Its battery lasts for 6-8 hours of continuous use and its fans do not get too loud, even under loads.
The Scar 16’s design features some www.newsoftwareideas.com/how-does-board-portal-software-can-help-your-business/ gamer aesthetics, but isn’t too flashy. The lid’s prismatic design is the most notable feature. It catches the light and shines through 8,279 tiny openings to create an illusion of rainbows. The laptop’s display pivot also lifts the chassis forward to improve airflow. It also slopes the keyboard towards you. Asus calls this hinge the ErgoLift.
This laptop is ideal for gaming, but can be used for other tasks that require processing such as video editing or image manipulation. It has a lot of ports, including USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-C, HDMI 2.0b and a 3.5mm combo connector. There’s also an SD slot. The speakers are powerful but they can distort and sound extremely loud when they are in high volume. You’ll want to pair them with headphones. The only drawback is minor unwanted programs that you’ll need to get rid of, such as McAfee Personal Security and the Dolby App.
